Submission Guidelines
If you have a story or challenge that features Captain Hank Stanley
and/or Chief McConnike, and their families, and would like to submit it to this
site, please send it to both CapStanley77@aol.com
and hjc_cas@mindspring.com (Heather and Betty are co-owners of this
site) with the word "Burning Hat Sub" in the subject line.
Please REMEMBER to contact authors for permission if you want to use the
characters that are not public domain names. Please BE SURE to check the
characters in the E! Writer's
Headquarter Character Reference site. If we notice that you have
used a character which belongs to someone, we will return your story. You would
have to contact the author for permission to use this character, or you would
have to change the name of character.
Please proofread your stories BEFORE sending them to us. Any stories with
excessive errors will be returned to the author for corrections because we do
not have time to correct the mistakes! We recommend that you have a beta reader
or/and proofreader look over your work before you submit it. If you need beta reader(s), please send an
email to us so we will help you find beta reader. If you need medical help or
other stuff, you will find Mary
Morris's helpful EFIC mailing list.
Please remember that this site is a webZINE, and your stories will be
edited. If you do not want your stories edited, DO NOT submit them here!
No anonymous submissions will be accepted. If you wish to use your pen
name, it will be fine, but we want to know who you are!
All submissions should be sent in the form of email attachments or pasted
into the body of the email. If you use attachments, please use RTF or Rich Text
Format.
We have five strict rules. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A FAMILY SITE!
1. NO PLAGIARISM ~ If you have plagiarized a
story, you will be banned from this site and from other Emergency! Fanfiction
sites.
2. NO SLASH ~ A "slash" story is one in
which the two characters in a relationship are the same sex. Please remember
this is a family site.
3. NO X-RATED ~ This site is rated "G"
to "PG-13".
4. NO MARY SUE stories ~ We do not want to have
"plotless" stories that revolve around a "Mary Sue"-type
character! Go to visit The
Mary Sue Hextum site.
5. NO REWRITING OF EMERGENCY! EPOSIDES ~ We do
not accept that.
